Create Tenant
What is a tenant?
A Tenant in Axioms is an isolated container for all your identity and access management data and configuration information. A Tenant holds all necessary OAuth 2 and OpenID configurations.
Each tenant hosted by Axioms is tightly isolated. This isolation is applied at all levels including the database, cache, and application instances. For more information, review the documentation regarding the architecture and technology stack.
Create a new tenant
Start a new tenant creation using Create new tenant option.
For new accounts post-login, use Create new tenant
button at the center of the Home screen to create new tenant. For an account with existing tenant, you can use Tenant Switcher
to create additional tenants using Create new tenant
option in the dropdown.
Using Tenant switcher, you can create new tenants using Create new tenant
action or switch between Tenants. Active tenant is always highlighted by the green tick.

Tenant Name
Tenant name is used at various places. For instance, various branded pages hosted by Axioms such as Registration, Login, MFA, Recover Password, Reset Password, etc. require a tenant name. Emails and other types of communications sent from Axioms on behalf of your tenant will also use tenant name along with other options.
Tenant Domain Slug
An alphanumeric slug which will be used to create your default Axioms tenant domain. Once the tenant is created, you can map one or more secured (HTTPS) custom domains. Any entered slug will be converted to lower-case. The Tenant Domain Slug option cannot be changed after tenant creation.
Switch to your new tenant
Once you create a new tenant you will be automatically redirected to the tenant dashboard. If you have multiple tenants, you can use the Tenant Switcher
section in the top right corner to switch to your desired tenant. You can also add a new tenant by using the Create new tenant
action in the tenant switcher.

Explore Tenant
Tenant dashboard is default screen for a tenant. It provides some raw statistics about tenant usage and recent activity log (on paid plan). On the left sidebar you have navigation options which vary based on your tenant permissions.
A person who creates the tenant get assigned Tenant Owner
role and has full access to all tenant views and settings. In the following sections, we will show how you can invite other team members to your tenant and assign appropriate permissions.

Default Samples
When you create a new Tenant, to help you understand the initial setup process, the Axioms platform will automatically create a sample Client (i.e. application), a sample Resource (i.e. API), and a sample Role for your tenant.
